Anticorruption Investigations in Pedro Escobedo

The municipal president of Pedro Escobedo, Juan Alberto Nava Cruz, reported that as a result of the audit and oversight process in the municipality, two investigation files have been opened in the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. Although the names of those involved and specific affected areas were not revealed, it has been confirmed that more than 10 former public officials could be involved in various irregularities.

Among the causes of the investigations, the issue of the "diablitos" used by the previous administration stands out, which generated a debt with the State Electricity Commission. Despite the complexity of this matter and the significant economic impact it entails, Nava Cruz stated that there is good communication with the CFE superintendency in the state and that progress is being made to resolve this issue.

Considering the debt issue, it is estimated that the total debt exceeds 100 million pesos, of which more than 70 million corresponds to labor awards. The municipal president assured that the last consequences will be pursued in each of these matters, with the aim of resolving them comprehensively.

Despite the challenges faced by the administration, Nava Cruz pointed out that the municipal government is stable and continues to work to ensure the best results for the citizenry. Regarding the opened investigation files, the mayor mentioned that this is a process that requires time and dedication, but assured that the appropriate protocols are being followed to clarify any irregularity that has been detected.
